Open wicker furnishings emerged in popularity among America’s eastern coastline resort areas during the first three decades of the 1900s. The Beehive wicker rocking chair is a wonderful example of the expert use of rattan spindling to create diamond lattice patterns while retaining all the charms of earlier closed-weave designs. Wrapped hive-shaped ball finials adorning the back stiles and arm fronts complement braided edging that frames side, back and skirt panels. Lighter finishes will add spring-like cheer all year long while darker tones with their nostalgic appeal will please any traditionalist. With an optional acrylic sealant, when summer comes calling, this rocker can go outdoors on covered porches.

The Natural Finish is “Natural & Green” in the raw state; No Top Coat, No Stain and No Finish. Factory uses only Grade “A” White Wicker for the Natural Product Line. Grade A is earned because of the lack of blemishes in the wicker or rattan, hand picking only color consistent pieces of wicker and rattan for these raw pieces. A Non Toxic Sealer Coat is applied at the factory so the paint or stain does not soak through to the core of the wicker and rattan.
A Protective Finish (Acrylic Coating) a clear coat which will not be noticed by the UN-trained eye can be applied to the furniture piece to offer additional protection for the raw materials if your intentions are not to paint, stain or varnish the piece later.
